New Solar Panels at HERE

Ashville are pleased to announce the successful installation of cutting-edge photovoltaic (PV) solar panels on one of its flagship office buildings located in Bristol.

Both Ashville and HERE are committed to built environment sustainability, and this initiative is a testament to our dedication to making environmental improvements in the commercial property sector. By investing in existing office buildings and renewable energy sources like solar power, we are not only reducing our environmental impact but also repurposing older buildings and creating low-carbon workplaces.

We believe that using existing buildings will have significantly less environmental impact when comparing this to the demolition of older buildings and developing new sites.  It also shows that these often-considered obsolete buildings can be re-purposed into attractive and thriving green places to work from.

212 new PV solar panels have been installed on rooftop space and are expected to generate over 89,000 kWh of clean, renewable energy annually as well as 21 tonnes of carbon saving.

In addition to the environmental and financial benefits, the new panels will  help to support businesses and tenants at HERE with their increasing requirements to occupy greener and more sustainable offices spaces.   The investment from the landlord aims to provide a sustainable environment for its tenants, enabling them to reduce their own carbon footprints and contribute to a more eco-friendly workplace and world.

Andrew Oliver from Ashville who are Asset Managers for the landlord commented.

“Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our own operations and we are continuously exploring renewable energy solutions as a means of reducing our building environmental impact and promoting a more sustainable future.  This is also an increasingly important factor for companies when considering their office space against their own ESG requirements.  Saving potentially redundant offices from being demolished and investing to create a thriving office community and greener place to work is paramount to our values and we feel HERE reflects this commitment well.
