Christmas Fair ushers in the festive spirit HERE in Bristol

18 independent arts and crafts traders from around Bristol assembled on Sunday 2 December 2018 as HERE hosted its Christmas Fair.

The upcycled office building on Bristol’s Bath Road in Brislington filled its foyer with yuletide cheer on the weekend and several thousand local shoppers paid a visit and enjoyed an alternative Christmas shopping experience.

Andrew Oliver of Ashville, asset managers for the HERE building, explained:

“Bristol has a well-earned reputation as a creative city and that was in evidence at the weekend. We offered independent trades people the chance of a free stall at our Christmas Fair and 18 local makers took up our offer.

We had a great range of stalls – visitors could buy anything from baby clothes to upcycle notebooks, handmade nut butters to audio Christmas cards.”

The Fair also featured an antidote to Christmas Turkey in the form of Agnes Spencer Jerk Chicken, and the in-house Friska coffee shop opened especially to serve a range of Christmas nibbles.

The steady flow of locals kept the traders happy too. Andrew from Extraudionary said:

“It was a great event on Sunday – really nice mix of people and a good buzz in what was a great venue. Of the Christmas events I’ve done so far this was the best, so thank you once again for the pitch!”

Anna from Chorachori said:

“A big Thank You to HERE for organising the Christmas Fair yesterday. Lots of visitors and a nice atmosphere.”

Andrew Oliver added:

“It looks like we’ll make this an annual event – everybody is happy. And that’s what Christmas is all about!”
